SQE1 resit rules

Every attempt counts: there are at most three, and the clock starts at your first SQE assessment.

How many attempts do I get at SQE1?

Up to three attempts at each part of the SQE — three at FLK1 and three at FLK2.

How long do I have?

Six years from the date of your first SQE assessment to pass all parts of the SQE.

Can I resit a part I passed to improve my mark?

No. You cannot resit an assessment you have already passed.

What happens if the six years run out?

Previous passes do not carry forward if you reapply after the window has expired.
